About Sharon

QUALIFIED BACHELOR OF COUNSELLING | B COUNS

My goal is to offer a holistic, safe, and nurturing space where clients feel free to be themselves—without judgment, pressure, or hesitation. It’s in this kind of environment that true healing can happen.

I’m truly excited to welcome you into this space. Drawing on life experiences and professional therapeutic training, I approach each client with authenticity and care, tailoring support to suit their individual journey.

In addition to being a qualified Counsellor, I am also a Personal Trainer and Life Coach. My approach is down to earth, authentic and no BS, but is balanced with tons of empathy and a great sense of humour.

It’s been my privilege to walk alongside others, equipping them with tools to feel empowered and capable—tools I've used in my own life to rise above challenges I once thought insurmountable. I understand the value in hearing another’s story and journeying with them through their times of change.

“I believe in inclusive care, respecting every client’s identity, values, and life story.”

What is Person Centred and Narrative Therapy?

Person centred therapy, gifted to us by Carl Rogers, provides the foundation for you to bring your burdens to a non-judgemental, balanced and empathetic counsellor. This creates a strong client / counsellor therapeutic relationship enabling them to work together as the client trusts and accepts this space.

Narrative Therapy, founded by Michael White, is a therapeutic modality that helps people to view “the” problem as separate to themselves, and to re-author the stories of their lives enabling healing and restoration to take place.

I use a holistic approach to counselling, providing a safe, confidential environment which encourages clients to slowly acknowledge comfortable, and less comfortable, emotions thus opening the way to do their work on healing and restoration. All work is done at the client’s pace.

Counselling can be hard work, so we can also incorporate fun therapies or activities to enhance the process. Creative therapy carries the benefit of accessing different or deeper avenues of healing than cognitive options.

Psychoeducation helps clients learn and understand why, and how, old behaviours may need to change in favour of ones that serve them better.

Transitions Counselling Values

I believe that healing happens in relationship—when we are truly seen, heard, and supported. These values are more than just words—they’re the foundation of how we create a safe, meaningful space for growth.

  • two hands icon representing togetherness

    Togetherness

We don’t lead from above or push from behind—we walk side by side. Therapy at its best is a partnership, not a prescription. You are the expert on your life; we are here to support, reflect, and journey with you as you explore, heal, and grow.

  • heart icon representing compassion

    Compassion

At the heart of everything we do is deep compassion. We hold space for your full humanity—with kindness, empathy, and a deep respect for your unique experience. There's no judgment here—only presence.

  • seedling icon representing growth

    Growth At Your Pace

We honour your timing. We know that transformation doesn’t follow a set timeline. Whether you’re taking your first step or your hundredth, we’re here to meet you where you are, without pressure or agenda.

  • mask icon representing authenticity

    Authenticity

We value realness—yours and ours. You deserve a space where you don’t have to filter yourself. We show up as human too—honest, warm, and grounded in who we are. In that space of mutual authenticity, healing takes root.

  • world icon representing inclusivity

    Inclusivity

Everyone deserves a space to feel safe, respected, and seen. We welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, beliefs, and life experiences. Diversity isn’t just respected—it’s embraced. Our counselling is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming.

  • magnifying glass icon representing curiosity

    Curiosity & Courage

We approach healing with gentle curiosity. Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is ask a new question. We invite clients to explore their inner world with openness and bravery, knowing that clarity and change often begin with curiosity.

  • stars icon representing hope

    Hope

Even in the hardest seasons, there is hope. We hold hope when it’s hard for you to carry it. We believe in the human capacity to grow, to rise, to change, and to find joy again—even when the path is unclear.
